Stairway to Heaven Plays on the Radio; Maple Leafs Lose

Habs Eyes on the Prize

It was a night that usually turns out so well: Tuesday night, in Florida, against a SE division opponent, the only thing missing was the game being on LeafsTV. Okay, by now you should know I'm kidding, all of those things combined usually spells disaster for the Leafs and a nasty hangover for Leaf fans the next day.

Tuesday night started out as well as any other night does, the Maple Leafs were down 1-0 through 1, and 2-1 through 2. Of course they lost 5-2 and most fans have dreams of Mikhail Grigorenko (would be cool to have two Mikhail's) in their heads.

Follow me over the jump for highlights, lowlights, the three stars and three stooges.

Highlights:
1) Phil Kessel had an assist to run his career high point total to 72
2) Carlyle got wise and put Kessel and Bozak with Clarke MacArthur
3) Carter Ashton had another decent game against strong competition
4) No one died

Lowlights:
1) James Reimer let in 4 GA, I wouldn't blame him on one of them
2) Mikhail Grabovski played less minutes then Tim "half machine" Connolly
3) Carl Gunnarsson showed that he is indeed human
4) Florida offered a promotion to switch any Versteeg Leaf jersey's for a Florida Versteeg jersey*

Three Stars
3) Nikolai Kulemin  - He's looking like he's coming around a bit. Solid work in the O-zone and a few scoring chances
2) John-Micheal Liles - A strong game. 2 EVGF 0 EVGA +12 Fenwick +16 Corsi
1) Clarke MacArthur - Showed putting him with Kessel and Bozak is a good idea, helped them carry possession and assisted, along with Kessel, on Bozak's goal

Three Stooges
3) Carl Gunnarsson - Horrible giveaway, led to a 2 on 0 chance against poor James Reimer
2) Carter Ashton - Two minor stick penalties and a fight. Both minors directly led to a GA
1) Mike Komisarek - Was at the Leafs blueline on the first GA, skated like i do in men`s league to tie up his man, watch here
